KOLKATA STYLE DESI CHICKEN GRAVY
Ingredients
250-gram ItsFarmFresh Country Chicken (Desi/Gavran Chicken), 1 potato, 25gram oil, 1 large onion paste,1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste,1 teaspoon roasted cumin paste, 1 teaspoon roasted coriander seed paste, 2 teaspoon turmeric powder,1 teaspoon salt,3 red chillies,1 teaspoon red chilli powder,1 teaspoon garam masala powder, 1 bay leaf.
Desi Chicken Recipe:
Heat your frying pan briefly over medium heat. Add the oil. Once the oil starts to shimmer add the onion paste sauté a minute. Now add the garlic ginger paste, coriander seeds paste and cumin paste with stirring constantly until it stops sputtering. This should take 30 seconds or so. Add two red chillies, add the tomato paste and stir until bubbles form (the oil will likely separate). This takes around 30 seconds to one minute depending on the heat. Now add ItsFarmFresh Gavran Chicken and along with that Add potato also and mix well. Turn the heat up to medium-high. Cook chicken for two min. The heat is what caramelizes the onions in the curry base and gives the curry it’s Indian restaurant flavour. Now add red chilly powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, bay leaf and salt sauté for two minutes. Add one cup of water to cover the pan. Let the curry simmer for about 20 minutes. Garnish with a bit of chopped fresh coriander.
